Magnolia oil feels like a deep exhale for your whole nervous system 🌸 Soft, floral, and quietly powerful — this oil is one I reach for when the body feels overwhelmed, tense, or emotionally “full.” ✨ Why I love Magnolia essential oil: • Supports emotional balance + calm • Helps ease feelings of stress, overwhelm, and tension • Encourages a grounded, heart-centered state • Gentle on the skin + beautiful for daily perfume • Promotes restful sleep when used at night There’s something about Magnolia that feels… safe. Like you can soften your shoulders, unclench your jaw, and just be. 🌿 How to use: • Roll onto wrists + over heart for emotional support • Diffuse in the evening to unwind • Apply to neck/shoulders when holding stress • Use as a natural, feminine personal scent Affirmation: “I am safe to soften. I allow calm to flow through me.” This is one of those oils that doesn’t shout — it whispers… and your body listens 🤍 #essentialoils #magnoliaoil #nervoussystemsupport #holisticwellness #doterra emotionalhealth naturalhealing selfcare

There’s something ancient about cedar. 🌲 I’m on a solo trip along the Oregon coast, and I’ve been spending time with the most magnificent cedar tree… sitting beneath it, leaning into, listening. The scent alone feels like stepping into a memory older than your own… a quiet forest where time softens and the nervous system exhales. Cedarwood essential oil has long been used to: – ground and steady the emotions – calm the mind and support deep, restful sleep – create a sense of safety and rootedness in the body – gently cleanse and support the skin But beyond the physical… there’s a deeper layer. Cedar carries the frequency of ancestral support. It reminds us we are not doing this life alone. Sitting with this tree, I can feel that— a steady, quiet presence… like something ancient standing beside me. When you work with cedar, you may feel: – held in something older and wiser – connected to lineage, roots, and belonging – supported in releasing fear and returning to trust Diffuse it. Place a drop over your heart or the soles of your feet. Sit with it like you would an elder. Let it remind you: you are supported, you are guided, you are part of something enduring. #cedarwood #essentialoils #plantmedicine #listeningtobrillance #forestmedicine

This week asked more of my nervous system than felt fair. The continuation of old harm showing up in familiar ways—bullying that echoes abuse, power trying to reassert itself—layered with the quiet violence of systemic harm from society, the kind that gaslights, isolates, and punishes tenderness. The body remembers before the mind has words. And still— balm arrived. Not as a resolution. Not as forgiveness. But as sanctuary. In the way friends showed up without needing the full story. In shared meals where no one rushed me back to “okay.” In play that reminded my body it is allowed to laugh again. In voices raised together, singing songs that braided us back into ourselves. Community is not a distraction from harm— it is a refusal of the systems that profit from our disconnection. Friendship is not denial. It is a remembering of who we are beyond what was done to us, beyond what society tells us to endure silently. This week, the medicine wasn’t solitude or grit or self-mastery. It was being held in ordinary, sacred ways— by tables, by laughter, by harmony, by people who said you don’t have to go through this alone. When abuse—personal or systemic—tries to shrink the world, community expands it again. That is the balm.

“Why do you want to shut out of your life any uneasiness, any misery, any depression, since after all you don’t know what work these conditions are doing inside you? Why do you want to persecute yourself with the question of where all this is coming from and where it is going? Since you know, after all, that you are in the midst of transitions and you wished for nothing so much as to change. If there is anything unhealthy in your reactions, just bear in mind that sickness is the means by which an organism frees itself from what is alien; so one must simply help it to be sick, to have its whole sickness and to break out with it, since that is the way it gets better.” ― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet Photo : Ariana Harley “Revival”

ʻIliahi — Sandalwood — holds one of the oldest stories in Kona’s mountains. Long before ships crossed the Pacific seeking its fragrance, ʻiliahi grew in quiet partnership with the upland forests, cared for by kānaka who understood its medicine — for the heart, the breath, the nervous system, the spirit. It was gathered with prayer and intention, never taken without offering something back to the mountain. In the early 1800s, foreign demand for sandalwood surged. Hawaiʻi entered the global sandalwood trade, and the forests of Kona were harvested intensively. By the mid-1800s, ʻiliahi had nearly disappeared. Its loss was more than ecological — it echoed through language, ceremony, and memory. But this is not just a story of loss — it is one of renewal. Today, in the uplands of Kealakekua, careful restoration efforts are bringing ʻiliahi back home to the land that shaped it. These forests are being replanted tree by tree, seed by seed, guided by cultural practitioners, conservationists, and community who know that healing the land is healing ourselves. To walk among these young ʻiliahi now is to feel a future returning. A remembering. A blessing. Kealakekua — “the pathway of the gods.” And the path is being restored. #ʻIliahi #Sandalwood #HawaiianHistory #Kona #Kealakekua #KonaMountains #RestorationWork #AlohaʻĀina #HawaiianForests #NativeHawaiianPlants #KMR #KonaMountainReserve #doTERRA #RegenerativeAgriculture #MalamaʻĀina #Reforestation #CulturalRestoration #HealingTheLand #UpliftTheLand #HawaiianCulture #PlantMedicine
